Nuke 15.1 | Machine Learning Updates
Welcome to the latest update of CopyCat in Nuke 15.1, featuring improvements to performance and usability.
The CopyCat Runs table now includes a new training menu, making it easier to manage multiple training runs. The new menu adds the option to quickly toggle the visibility of, delete, create inference from, and resume training checkpoints.
We’ve also introduced mixed-precision training, boosting training performance by using half-precision floating-point operations for non-critical layers while maintaining full precision for critical ones. This optimizes GPU memory usage and makes training up to 2x faster without degrading output fidelity.

    Rhino now has variable edge weight , i wonder if that will work now as well. Also id love to see something about UVing a rhino model in modo. I do all my modeling in rhino for engineering purposes and texture and render in modo. Ive avoided uv mapping in the past do to time and my lack of uv knowledge. Im pushing myself to do more. Thanks for this

    How can I change it? I can't believe that in the year 2024, there is still no easy way to change shortcuts (e.g., K/L) in Nuke. You need to be a master of C++, Python, Javascript, and maybe even the Bible to change these keys. At this rate, we might need a magic spell from Hogwarts next!

    I tested the new copycat last friday. I must say it's definetely improved! Is it faster? An absolute YES! Is it more accurate or precise? I was impressed! By the way, I tested the copycat for the beauty work and de-aging tasks we already did before Nukex V14. When I applied the *.cat file to the batch shots consistency was amazing. When extra taraining needed for the batch shots using the previous training as a checkpoint gave the advantage in a better way and just 2000-3000 epochs were enough to reach the result. Roto is not my concern, so I can't really say anything about that part.

      R u wokring with Nuke. Bcz it sound like another Software. Iam using the last version too. Its useless. Too long too hard to make it good and tooo hard for a 2 sec clip!

      @@Arminkenedi Hello. yes we are working with NukeX. But I must mention again I worked with batch shots so it contains multiple shots. And we are using ML tools for complicated shots which also need consistency. So 2 sec clip is not the case here unless it's a very very complicated shot.

      ​@@alptonay1481 That is exactly what I am talking about! How many shots are long and very complicated? Very few, and most of the time-actually, in 90% of the cases-a clip is under 5 seconds und they are not super complicated. Is the point of CopyCat a function for very few shots?

    The way Luca provided color variations to deal with any overlapping element is a brilliant invention itself !! a Million thanks Please Since that setup is re-usable please consider putting it out as a tool/script for everyone this's just insanly useful ! :)

    It's only worth it if a shot is long. This means most of the time, the Rotobrush from After Effects is much faster bcz the shots are less then 2 sec. Copycat takes too long to implement! Perfect rotoscoping up to 10 frames! In the end, you spend more time than if you manually rotoscoped everything. I don't know whose idea CopyCat was, but it's really pointless. I have so many arguments about why CopyCat is so bad.

    clamp vaules to be safe before training try log space as opt b double check channels on input and GT, only train on channels you need train in the same color space as the one used to inference to :)

    I I have a 12 year-old version of Modo that is pretty crippled. But trying to approach your boss with the proposal to buy a software upgrade, whose price is not yet listed. The insistence on special pricing for company use - contact us to find out a price - It’s pretty offputting There are other apps who aren’t ashamed of their pricing and list them. i I think Modo is the easiest to learn, especially interface. Just be straightforward with your price guys.

      Hi! You can right click on the clip in the bin and choose Clip>Audio>Remove Audio. If you choose Remove Video instead, the audio and video will be split up into separate clips. Hope it helps, let us know how you get on with it 😀

    High DPI support is the ONLY improvement I want. It's been promised since about V12. I stopped believing the promises after V14 and also stopped updating MODO for that reason. What's the point of having state of the art modeling tools if you can't see what you're doing? It saddens me to see that it's being promised yet again. The promise this time is that it will be worked on, not that it will make into a particular release. 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

    You guys really are a bunch of losers I paid too much for this software. And after so much waiting this is all you guys can do???? What we need is a big update that comprehensively improves and completely solves all software problems along with a clear upgrade to the modeling capabilities of this software. If you feel like you can't do that, then let this software be separated and developed separately. But really you are keeping this software dying by maintaining patchy updates. If you can't do that, let it die and let us know about its death soon!!!
